Tickets went on sale today for the annual Rockin For The Troops summer concert in Wheaton July 19th.

 

Academy Award nominated actor Gary Sinise was in Westmont today to help publicize the event. Sinise said spoke about the estimated 1,000,000 American servicemen and women transitioning back to civilian life over the next five years.

 

“The war’s winding down in Afghanistan, but we’re going to have residual effects from these wars for many years to come,”

 

Sinise said.Sinise and his Lieutenant Dan band will play at Wheaton’s Cantigny Park July 19, helping Operation Support Our Troops America raise vitally important funding.

 

Hundreds gather today for the kickoff event. As part of the festivities, Medal of Honor recipients Alan J Lynch received the keys to a new car on behalf of a veteran in need. The vehicle was provided by Operation Support Our Troops and McGrath Acura in Westmont.

 

The 9th annual Rockin for the Troops concert will take place in Cantigny Park.
